Om Namah Sivaya,

Dearest Beloved Family,

As you might have heard, there is terrible suffering here in India as

well as other parts of our world due to the earthquake and flooding.

Which heart will not melt on hearing the stories of mothers left

childless, poor left without even their little huts, fishermen bereft

of their conoes - thousands and thousands untold cries of anguish?

There are a lot of efforts here to provide material relief -- but

even more urgent is relief for the broken hearts of the survivors and

prayers for the souls that have left us.

Are we not so blessed that our most Beloved Swamiji has guided us on

the mantras to chant - the Maha Mritunjaya mantra and Gayatri Mantra -

- do you think we can do a group vigil - to pray for the suffering?

Can we join together, all over the world - to send Maa's positive

energy of peace and love - to our suffering brethren, to all animals,

plants and life on our earth?

Maybe we can do something - like a 24 or 12 hour vigil with 1/2 hour

slots to chant the Mantras suggested by our Swamiji - would sometime

this weekend work? It is the beginning of a New Year - and we can

pray to Mother Divine to keep us sheltered in Her arms - and to fill

our hearts with gratitude and love for Her and all Her creation.

What do you think, Beloved Family? I feel so heartbroken and

helpless..there is nothing to do but pray, pray, pray, pray..Jai MAA!

Jai MAA! Jai MAA! Jai Swamiji!

yours lovingly,

ramya
