Guest guest
Pranams Swamiji, What about the problems that arise if someone is turning to silence and family life etc is creating "noise"? That noisy duality must be seen as the Devi's sound, not contrary to AUM? The householder needs to be somewhat of an very wise person to transition as he/she gets older? She needs to believe her way is true?
Guest guest
Silence is a state of mind, not a state of surroundings. Guest guest
Well stated, but I do understand Steve's quandary. I believe that what is needed is more aptly called faith than belief in the path one follows. Grace On 09/01/2005, at 7:29 AM, Brian T. Guest guest
I like Faith, she's a good diety. When we honor her, she honors us with peace of mind. Its like the Beatle's song, "Let it Be." "When I find myself in times of trouble, Mother Mary comes to me, speaking words of wisdom, 'Let it be.'" That goddess you speak of; Faith or in this example: Mary; she's an aspect of surrender, a wisdom that says, "you need not control the chaos to find peace." In fact, I feel that the belief that we can control the chaos is just one of the tricks she uses to keep us distracted. Maha Maya is wonderfully tricky. Guest guest
I sometimes wonder if I'll have the wisdom to make the transition to the next stage after householder ashram is completed. By Swami Ji's and Mother's grace, I will.Grace Green <gmgreen108 (AT) westnet (DOT) com.au> wrote: Well stated, but I do understand Steve's quandary.
