Guest guest
Dear Friends, Aum Namah Shivayah! Recently I made a sankalpa to Chant the Seedha Path every day for 108 days. I started on Jan 3rd. My inspiration was Swamiji, of course. And also a feeling that unless I sit down and do this, all this knowledge in my head would be mere hearsay. I thought I would share a few things that are happening as this sankalpa plays out. First, my heartfelt thanks to Nanda for that idea of dedicating the Chandi to someone. I modified that and do the following before I begin: "Oh Divine Mother, please make the relation between and X become peaceful and harmonious. May all ill-will between us disappear". I also pray to Lord Ganesha to help me complete my Chant. It takes me 2 hours to do it and so far no disturbances! I normally Chant between 6 and 8 pm after returning from work. The other thing I do before I begin is to read a page from Sahib Sadhu. That's my booster rocket. Once the chant begins, the familiar asuras show up, mainly memories and wandering to and fro. Mother! Helppppppp! I pray sincerely to our beloved Maa and Swamiji to be with us as we go forward in our Sadhana! With Love and prayers, srini
Guest guest
May the Divine Mother herself bless your efforts! I am engaged in a lengthy sankalpa myself and have had the same asuras visit me. I actually take this as proof that things are working. I find that sadhanas when intensely undergone do bring up things. I simply take these thoughts and memories as froth to skim off the top. Guest guest
Namaste Srini, Way to go ! Here is praying that you keep going strong ! Thank you for sharing your sankalpa with us. I have entered you in our SankalpaTracking table in the database section of the group. I am happy to know that the idea of dedicating the Chandi to a person is helping you. It continues to help me enormously. Since I start the Chandi with a strong intent - that my worship should benefit this person - I feel somehow "obliged" to sit and complete the chanting without breaks - so that the recipient may get the best possible benefits ( this is a big deal for me , because when I started chanting seriously over a year ago, I used to take breaks between chapters to check my email - readers of my sankalpa diaries might remember the drama within the drama of my Chandi). I dont even think of any shortcuts (weeel maybe I can skip this chapter) since I want to give the best possible. Anyway , we all have our "hooks" I guess ... and my hook is the feeling of "responsibility" that I need to finish and chant properly so that my recipient gets the best. I pray that one day Chandi will have me thoroughly hooked that I will give off my best - whether I have a legit reason or not. JAI CHANDI !!!
