Maa had called me yesterday and we were chatting on this and that

when She casually asked me ..."How is the club (ie this )

going?"

 

I told her about our 108 Chandi Sankalpa this year, and that Mausumi

had suggested it and Maa was thrilled !

 

"ME TOO" she said(and I paraphrase) "I am now doing the 108 Chandi

as well. I am praying for the welfare of this world. For peace"

 

Um Folks,Her Chandi is different from ours in that She is doing a

Chandi a day for 108 consecutive days... (sorta like yours maybe

Srini)

 

and you know what, She wasnt feeling too well the last few days but

She said "I finish my Chandi by hook or by crook"

 

Now THATS the example that we've got dear readers!

 

And that wasnt all ! She wanted to know who was doing this sankalpa

aside from myself.

 

And I said "Srini has been doing everyday"

 

Maa said "Oh really. Srini is so great. My love and blessings to him"

 

"Who else? "She wanted to know .

 

I said "Ramya too " and Maa said "My love and blessings"

 

"Who else?" She prompted ... She was thrilled...I could make out her

happiness in her voice

 

I said "My mother - Vasantha"

 

And Maa said " Reeeeeeealllly !!! How wonderful. My love and

blessings to her"

 

"Who else? ", Maa wanted to know and wouldnt let up.

 

I said "Ardis"

 

Maa said "My blessings"

 

"Who else?" asked my relentless mother

 

"Kalachandra" I said "only she is doing Guru Gita 108 times"

 

"Oh Kalachandra is soooo great, you know she has translated so many

of Swamiji's books into Portuguese?" Maa said "My love and blessings

to Kalachandra"

 

"Who else?" Maa was on a roll here

 

"Morningsong has said that she will do 27 Chandis this year Maa"

said I.

 

And Maa said "Love and blessings"

 

Maa asked "What about Kaliananda?"

 

And um Kali Maa, I did cover for you the best I could , but you know

what to do <grin>

 

Long and short of the story - Maa was thrilled to pieces, tickled

pink, however you wanna describe it when she heard our sankalpa .

Way to go folks !

 

Swamiji ofcourse wanted to know what we were gonna do the remaining

250 some days. :-)
