Guest guest
Today’s world reels under the duress of strife and wars of various dimensions. Man amidst these turbulent and fragmented times seems to have lost the essence of living as one humanity. Moreover the fractured humanity is plagued by crash consumerism of a very heinous variety. Man the most evolved and sophisticated of species is thought to be endowed with the sixth sense, a much higher and subtler form of intuitive capabilities that allows him to feel and communicate with the larger cosmos and be in harmony with . But today man seems to be the cause of much disharmony which Prevails around us. Science and technology based on rationality has not solved all the needs and aspirations of humanity and in many ways have also disrupted the harmony. Science can explain the cause of an event say accident or illness But is not capable of explaining why a certain individual or a particular community had to go through the sufferings of that particular accident or illness, and why others escaped Its fury. In short man just as a rational being is deeply dissatisfied with his existence. He is constantly baffled and belittled by his purposeless existence. It is surrounded with these existential crises, that man wants today, more than at any other time in history to embark on a spiritual journey and build bridges across humanity and across other species. It is high time that all of us irrespective of our caste, creed, religion, national and ethnic boundaries should once again rekindle our spiritual energies to essence of human existence in harmony with the cosmos. namasivayam Meet the all-new My - Try it today! Guest guest
I agree with you. But I would also add that there is an inner yearning for God. It is not an intellectual thing. It is not necessarily based on despair or existential crises. I believe that we were created with this inner urge for union with the Divine, to return to our Beloved. Most of humanity has not awakened to this yearning yet. They are still trying to appease their desires with the senses and consumerism. A solution that only takes them further from God. Meditation and prayer, pujas and homas, devotional singing and dancing. All these help us to turn to the God within and connect with the Cosmos. As Sarada Devi said (and Shree Maa often says): We Are All One Family. Blessings on you, nama siva, on your journey.
