Guest guest
Jai Maa! Jai Swamiji! and Jai Sri Ramakrishna, dear family! Today is the 8th. Anniversary of the Passing of my earthly mother, Frances. [Jan. 16th]. i have been so very much wanting to make a Sankalpa to do the 2005 108 Seedha Paths, but so many Asuras have been doing their very best to give me their reasons why i shouldn't or even worse -- Couldn't!!: 'You know you have a back injury which makes it very difficult for you to sustain an asana for 2 or 3 hours;'And..on top of that... you are going through menopause, and have those challenges to deal with.. On and On they chatter! But, last night i had just about decided to make my Sankalpa. i thought, Jan. 16th would be an auspicious day to begin...and i know with Maa and Swamiji's blessings, i WILL be able to complete this Sankalpa! This morning i read what Nanda said about a recent conversation she had with Maa in regards to Her [Maa's] chanting]: "and you know what, She wasn't feeling too well the last few days, but She said "I finish my Chandi by hook or by crook" Well, hearing what Shree Maa said to Nanda caused me to weep with joy! That really clinched it for me; i took it as a confirmation from Maa, 'that..'by hook or crook' She will help me complete my Sankalpa, which i take very very seriously! Jai Maa! Jai Swamiji! Jai Sri Ramakrishna! Om Aim Hrim Klim Chamundayai Vicce! muktimaa P.S.i just completed the first of the 108 Seedha Paths of my 2005 Sankalpa. :<) Jai Maa! Jai Swamiji! Jai Sri Ramakrishna Deva! This gentleman is a veteran of several Chandis and chants with vim and passion. I onced asked him how he keeps the interest alive and he said - "Its all noise, dont pay any attention to it" When our bodies complain because aches and pains , by all means lets attend to it and do whats needed. When our minds protest that we have something that requires immediate attention , by all means let us complete the task. But when we have organized our life (atleast for the day) so that we have set aside the time to chant, and all the thoughts come up - its just noise - it is this very resistance to chanting that we are fighting to overcome. This resistance to chanting is the asura, and the only way to conquer this asura is to ignore it and complete the sankalpa by hook or by crook. May the Goddess win !
