Guest guest
Question from Ramya: (Condensed version posted here) A group of us went to a village affected by Tsunami near Nagapatnam in Tamil Nadu state in South India. All our hearts broke as we saw the devastation .What should be the attitude of a spiritual seeker when they see such human suffering ? Should we focus on our practices at home and give positive energy and not go to such places? Or should we go there even if our practices can't be done as much due to the physical conditions and requirements of selfless work? Swamiji's response: If you go to such places, sit for worship. Inspire others to sit with you. If you can get other people to spend even a few minutes chanting mantras together it is an accomplishment. Gayatri and Mahamrityunjaya are wonderful. If you can perform Chandi Path it will be great.
