Guest guest
Hello Everyone from Kamala Nanda here in India. Since last January, 2004 I've been doing sadhana at different pilgrimage places here, such as Dakshineshwar, Kolkata, Jayrambati, Benares, Northern and Eastern Himalayan shrines and temples, etc. and recently have returned to Kolkata for studies in Bangla, Sanskrit, and Hindi, and have managed to squeeze in some harmonium lessons. I'm back to share from time to time, and here is a story from one of Shree Maa's devotees who at one time was a neighbor of Shree Maa's family in Guwahati, Assam. Please meet our sister, Khuku Bhattacharjee through her inspiring story: "One day when I was living in Guwahati, near Kalapahar, I went to Shree Maa's mother's house with my little daughter. I found that the door to Maa's puja room was closed. So I asked Shree Maa's mother, "has Shree Maa come"? She was smiling, and answered me, "yes". All of a sudden the puja room door opened a little, and Maa's face was sticking out. She heard my voice, and was very much pleased to see me. She exclaimed, "Oh I was wondering who wouild be the first to come. No one yet knows that I've come here. Maa's face was showing a big smile, and she asked me, "do you know which day today is"? It is a very special day! I answered Mother, "no, Maa, I don't know" .Maa said, "oh, today is Jagadhatri Puja! Don't you go just now, you stay, and take some prasad. Then later you can go to your house. I answered Maa, " ok, alright". After a little while, Maa gave me some prasad from her puja, and one pan also. I took my prasad, and after that I took this pan. When I was chewing the pan, I was very much surprised; all of a sudden the pan in my mouth vanished. And some nice taste and scent also came and lingered there. So I asked Maa, "Maa, what things did you put in your pan"? Two or three times I asked my Mother this question. But Maa did not say even one word. She only smiled, and smiled. I was thinking to myself, "Oh Mother, I very much love you"!"

Guest guest
Dear Kamala, I have thought of you often and wondered how your stay in India was going. I treasure the times we had together at the Mandir and feel that you are my sister. It sounds like you are fitting in a lifetime of experiences in a short time. Thank you for sharing your news and the story about Khuku Bhattacharjee. I am living in a small mountain town in Southern California. All is well. We are so blessed to have our connection with Shree Maa and Swamiji.
