Guest guest
Dear Shiva, Karen, you asked, Who is a sadhak?, I found this. Hope it helps. The one who has an indomitable urge, an intense passion, a surging aspiration to realize: 1. That one's existence is for the Divine only. 2. That all existence is a manifestation of the ultimate Divine Energy 3. That this whole existence is a cosmos -- including life and man -- governed by the law of harmony (ritam) Your quote of Swamiji's has that word in it also. Harmony. To me, The Divine is the pure vibrational energy(or Shakti) that is always present in everything. It's possible to feel the energy of God in anything or any thing. But some actions involve karma or negative ramifications. We get enjoyment, but at a price. The task is to discriminate between realizing you love the energy of an action vs. actually loving the action. Having mind, body, and conciousness in harmony seems key to being able to find Shakti in the right places. Finding harmony also ensures the enjoyment in not transitory. In spirituality, our ongoing effort is to rid ourselves of all that blocks our openness to this Divine vibe. There are as many ways to accomplish openness and harmony as there are people. So where should one start? Luckily, there are those who have gone down this road before us and some of them help show and teach us different methods to achieve harmony. People like Shree Maa and Swamiji. Someone asked a question about coincidence, personally I feel there are no coincidences. Because it is the energy of God has brought me to every situation I encounter in life. To benefit my soul and to move me towards liberation. Whether or not I like the situation is really irrelevant. The question with everything that happens to me then becomes, why did God put me here? How can it benefit my Self? Let's start with the question, why did God put us here, at Devi Mandir? Well that's an easy one. Ram , "Karen Borak" <karenborak@e...> wrote: > Before Becoming This is a book by Steven Newmark (a devotee of Shree Maa). It a collection of conversations with Shree Maa and Swami Satyananda (Swamiji) about life, love, and the cosmic play. The forms of worship that we are using that have emanated from the East are traditions that have worked for people who attained the goal. We are studying and practicing them because they are systems that have worked. They put the body, mind and consciousness into harmony and allow absorption into total divinity.
