Guest guest
Dear All, There IS value in satsang ! There IS value in THIS satsang ! And you may tell everyone I said so !!! After a long week at work and office politics and uncertainty, and early homa on Saturday , I logged into the Guru Gita discussion class half hour late. Would I find anyone ? I was rubbing my hands nervously. Would they give me flak for coming in late ? I found the faithful Ardis and Kaliananda. Kaliananda IM-ed a cheerful "yippppppeeeeee" I was relieved. I am among friends and know that all trespasses are forgiven. After some technical hitches we finally managed to group together. We once again went over verse 60 - the guru watches the drama of human life. and as we were discussing that and I was mentioning how full I was of negativity in the last few days" then Ardis said "sing to maa" i said " i wish i could remember that during times of stress and i wish i could do that during my office meetings" And then she laughed and said (paraphrased) "put it in perspective - what seems more real at the time of stress - Maa or the problem" and i came away a lot wiser... when i am full of negativity when i am full of positivity when i am .... ANYTIME WHAT IS REAL ? MAA OR THE PROBLEM ? If it is the problem, then I better start praying to Maa. Jai Ardis ! Your words couldnt have been better timed ! Now I know "Jai Maa" ie "Victory to the Divine Mother" means more to me than just another phrase of greeting. Thank you Ardis and Kalia for your satsang today. For all others , because of technical hitches , we dont have a transcript of today's discussion, but the dialog is inscribed in my heart. Guest guest
forgiveness and understanding om om om nanda i too have had many challenges lately! so much work i have taken on, there was no room for seva and sadhana, hardly even any for satsang. s-s-s-s-s-s-s-s! anyway, what i learned is, i wish to hold on to those things dearly, the 3 s's ... but that also i am no superman. render unto ceaser that which is ceaser's etc. we make our choices, then we learn, then we make choices again. it is tremendously satisfying to see the faith this group holds and the faith swamiji has shared with me over the last year. have faith, i say to myself, i will return to god ASAP. as we know it is not possible to leave god, it is only possible to believe one is alone, or even negative. worldly material channels through the mind, and it says to us, "i am you!" the most positive take on it i see is, we become more deeply aware of our need -- not just a superficial preference -- for god, spirit, truth, faith, maa, all those good things that bring us together here. and that we will grow stronger because of our failures, we will take ther truth of every experience, and use it to bring increase to our meditation. om om om, love to all s , "Nanda" <chandimaakijai> wrote: > > > Dear All, > > There IS value in satsang ! > There IS value in THIS satsang ! > > And you may tell everyone I said so !!! > > After a long week at work and office politics and uncertainty, and > early homa on Saturday , I logged into the Guru Gita discussion > class half hour late. > > Would I find anyone ?
