I had gone thru proper thread ceremony just before my first marriage and that was like born again ... starting new life with basic clothes and hindu teachings! But that was more than 15 years' ago, I didn't quite understood it and I still don't understand it completely. Every Hindu practioner is supposed to wear it everyday and follow its rituals during daily activities as well as change it as required. NOTE: This is for MALE only. Recently someone (Shree Maa knows) who turned Sanyasi (monk in orange robe) gave me white thread asking me that I should wear it. Orange thread is for true monks who wear orange clothes. I need to find place, timing and details so that I can start wearing as well as observing the associated rules that white sacred thread carries with it. ....
