Guest guest
Dear All, Here is the latest offering from our Swamiji - "Ramakrishna - the Nectar of Bliss" which is the translation from the original Bengali Ramakrishna Kathamrita by Mahendranath Gupta. The book is available at http://www.shreemaa.org/bookstore.htm This book was compiled over two years . It started out on Saturday evenings when Maa used to read a few paragraphs from the original Bengali and Swamiji translated as She went along. Soon these Saturdays became special for all, gathering around these two great souls , to hear them talk about another great soul. The evenings flew by, filled with wisdom and liberally peppered with Swamiji's humor and Maa's insight. Of course there was singing - Maa sang the songs from the book and would have us all in a wonderful bhava . There were two parallel satsangs that merged into one. One Satsang was happening in the book and the other was happening real time. With Maa and Swamiji bringing vividly to life , the satsangs around Ramakrishna and his devotees, the questions asked by the devotees, his wisdom and stories ... intimately intertwining with that day's satsang with Maa and Swamiji, the questions asked of them about Ramakrishna and their wisdom ... It was becoming more obvious that Maa and Swamiji were one with Ramakrishna . IT WAS HARD TO SAY WHERE RAMAKRISHNA LEFT OFF AND MAA AND SWAMIJI BEGAN ! Aaah those evenings , .. I recall many of the conversations... but an especially memorable one was the gathering one January evening where we as a group swayed gently to Maa singing "Hari Om Hari Om" . The archive of this particular satsang is available for download in the Files section -> Goodies from Maa and Swamiji =>Ramakrishna_Sat Sangha.mp3 The recorded transcripts passed through the hand of many a loving sevak - many of them members of our - the files were lovingly transcribed, undergoing several versions of editting and formatting , before the final edit by Swamiji. This book is a labor of love in more than one way - it was conceived in love, labored through in love and delivered with love. Now it is upto the world to make use of this love offering and help them on their path towards Divine Love. May it be so ! The book is available at http://www.shreemaa.org/bookstore.htm Jai Ramakrishna Nanda
Guest guest
I am so happy to hear about the latest offering from our Swamiji - "Ramakrishna – the Nectar of Bliss" which is the translation from the original Bengali Ramakrishna Kathamrita by Mahendranath Gupta. May be some day Maa will enable me to buy the book. The Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna has been my constant companion for a long time now. Whenever I face a problem in real life, or get worried about something, I read the Gospel, which gives me peace of mind. The Gospel has always shown the way. Sri Ramakrishna showed the way by which an ordinary householder could reach MAA. Swamiji's book will definitely become the companion for all our members. My Pranams to Shree MAA and Swamiji. Guest guest
Dear Sankar, What you said about The Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna: The Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna has been my constant companion for a long time now. Whenever I face a problem in real life, or get worried about something, I read the Gospel, which gives me peace of mind. The Gospel has always shown the way. Sri Ramakrishna showed the way by which an ordinary householder could reach MAA. Could have come from my lips and from my heart! That is exactly how I feel. I would love to be the instrument of Maa and purchase Swamiji’s new book for you. Just let me or the Mandir know your mailing address and I will take care of the rest. Namaste, Ardis
