Guest guest
Question from GOGIELAN: In Sri Durga Satanama Stotra , it is written that it is best recited evening before the New Moon Day known as Bhaumavati, when the celestial configuration is in asterism known as Satabhisa. What and when is Bhaumavati . What is satabhisa and when does this happen ? Please enlighten me on this. Thank you. Swamiji's response: Bhaumavati is Tuesday. Satabhisa is the name of a Nakshatra (asterism or star). When that specific Nakshatra falls on a Tuesday, that is most auspicious. The next one is on Shiva Ratri, Tuesday, March 8th, Shatabhisha Nakshatra will begin at 5:32 PM, and ends on Wednesday at 3:21 PM. Nanda's footnote : Please note that these times apply to California. Please consult the lunar calendar applicable to your locality for the begin and end times.
