Guest guest
Beloved Family, I am not sure whether this is an appeal or an offering. Though I really think it is the latter, I am coming from a bit of an appeal approach. I expect that you are reading this because you have found support in your spiritual life here at Shree Maa and Swamiji's Forum. I certainly have, and do. I thank Maa, Swamiji and each of you. We spent about a year doing a weekly study going through the Chandi Path. People from around the world would gather for an hour on the weekend and share their questions and insights. Swamiji's input was regualrly passed on the the group by that week's leader. It was such a blessing. I would often find myself in tears sitting at my computer participating in this beautiful gathering. Shree Maa and Swamiji let us know how present they were with us. Wow... When the Chandi Path study was complete (just started actually!), we wanted to continue and were trying to decide what would be the right thing upon which to focus. We discussed several options, and then, actually to our surprise, our beloved Maa gave us a wonderful blessing - she suggested that we study the Guru Gita... slowly. We welcomed this great boon. [Please do note that Shree Maa offering us a time to gather in her grace and with Swamiji's help to study what is called "the king of mantras," is unquestionly a gift. So we began and continue to gather on Saturdays for an hour at 11:30 am Pacific Standard Time in the US. Most of us also will daily spend time reading the few verses and considering what is being shown to us. Now I want to encourage you to give this a try. We could use more participation. And many of you will find that this amazing scripture will open you to the understanding of your true Self. Here is a verse that we dicussed this past Saturday: "Oh my Beloved, just as fire purifies with its radiant light, so does this king of mantras (the Guru Gita). Just as fire purifies the golden ornaments, so this king of all mantras (Guru Gita) purifies the mind and protects from death." So please consider taking advantage of this gift that our beloved Maa is making to us. You may not be able to be there every Saturday. I cannot, but I try to arrange my schedule to take that hour and also to spend time during the week going through the few verses for the week. there is no way I can adequately express what magic is taking place, but I know you are welcome to join in. To participate you need to have or downlown messenger, put in Nanda's address as a messenger contact and then be on line for the 1-hour gathering. much love jai Maa jayadeva
Guest guest
Dear Jayadeva and all, Thank you for posting this reminder/offering/appeal. As you said, this is a blessing from Shree Maa and Swamiji - to learn the Guru Gita together under their umbrella. Maa said the learning/discussing the Guru Gita will increase our devotion to the Guru, your own Guru. And for the record, I KNOW how much benefit I have reaped by simply following Maa's instructions. Maa once said "Just follow " and I have never looked back. And She has asked us to learn the Guru Gita .... I leave it upto each of you to think for yourselves but my personal opinion is "Make use of Maa's advice to reap Her blessings" We are learning verses 63-68 this week and invite you to join in with your questions and participation during the week and on Saturdays at 11.30 am Pacific Time.
