Guest guest
Question from Grace: I understand that we consume the offerings (panch amrit) as prasad. My family is lactose intolerant and we cannot get lactose free products here in Australia. Is there another way to "dispose" respectfully of the offerings ? Or is it OK for me to just offer honey and sugar as the 5 nectar bath. Thank you for your time Swamiji's response: If you do not want the prasad, you can offer a few drops of water when you recite the mantra. Or you can offer what items are appropriate for your circumstance.
Guest guest
Thank you Nanda, from this reply I understand that I can offer what I can later consume as prasad or I can offer only water when reciting the mantras which of course can be used as prasad. Guest guest
Nanda, A question I have wanted to ask for a while is in the opens mantras in the Chandi Path there is the instruction , just prior to the acaman, to tie a string around your middle finger or wrist. Why do we do this, what is the significance of the string and how long do we keep the string on? I do not know if this is one you can answer or is for Swamiji.
