Guest guest
I am another Westerner who is strongly drawn to both Ammachi of Amritapuri, and to Shree Maa of Devi Mandir. Ammachi travels the world, and so every summer I get her darshan here in New York City. Shree Maa seems more of a renunciate, and I have only had person-to-person darshan of her once, but her teachings with Swamiji are on my bookshelves and frequently referred to. I love and respect both these holy women, and see no reason to pick one over the other. When Ammachi gives me a hug, I feel warm and protected, and my heart opens. Shree Maa blessed me with a touch to my forehead, her hand was cool invigorating, and my mind grew still. For me, one is my Bhakti Guru, and one is my Jnani Guru. Guest guest
Beautifully put, Kalipadma. One question if I am not being intrusive...who gave you your name? Guest guest
Namaste : I too, am in a similar situation . I am a devotee of Haidhakan Babaji, who left his body in 1984. Prior to leaving his body, he left his disciples the message, "Go to to the wise ones and learn from them." I feel that Lord Shiva Hismeslf sent me to Shee Maa and Swamiji. Their books have had a profound effect on my spiritual practices. They are the wise ones my Guru instructed me to seek out as I continue on my path. Love, Kanti Devi
