Guest guest
Dear All, For those that would like to do sadhana for Shatabisha Nakshatra paddhoti (the system of worship that will take advantage of the auspicious configuration on Tuesday March 8 - Satabhisha star rising in the New moon day), here is what we are to do on that day. Can we find out how many folks will be participating in this sankalpa ? Please note that you can do the Shiva Ratri puja independent of this Shatabisha Nakshatra paddhoti. This paddhoti is recommended for people with some exposure to the Devi Mandir and its books. It is recommended for those that have atleast the Chandi Path. Jai Maa Nanda Anytime between 5:32 and midnight PST offer 1) Durga ashtottara shatanama stotram This is called the 108 names of She Who Relieves Difficulties and is found in the Chandi Path book . 2) perform pitha nyasa from Cosmic Puja Please find a file called Cosmic_Puja_Pitha_Nyasa.pdf in the folder Goodies%20from%20Maa%\ 20and%20Swamiji/ I will post separately on how to do the Pitha Nyasa. 3) panchamrita snan for Divine Mother Pancha - means 5 and snan - means bath The five ingredients offered as bath are a)Milk b)Yoghurt c)Ghee d) honey e)Sugar. Please note that if you dont have all the ingredients, please offer water instead. You can either offer it over the deity or offer into a cup. Mix all the ingredients and eat as prasad or gift from God. 4) one mala navarna japa. The Navarna mantra is "Om Aim Hrim Klim Chamundayai Vicche". One mala is 108 repetitions of the mantra. 5) Offer incense, lights, naivedya for Mother. Naivedya means food offering. It could be something as simple as a fruit or a portion of the food that you have cooked that day. This will satisfy the Shatabisha Nakshatra paddhoti. Guest guest
Namaste, Grace Ji! Try this link: Cosmic_Puja_Pitha_Nyasa.pdf If you can't access it for some reason from this post, it can be found in the 'Files' section. Guest guest
Nanda When we do #3 and #5 is there some prayer that goes with the offer? Or do we just place the items on the altar? > 3) panchamrita snan for Divine Mother > > Pancha - means 5 and > snan - means bath > > The five ingredients offered as bath are a)Milk b)Yoghurt c)Ghee d) > honey e)Sugar. > Please note that if you dont have all the ingredients, please offer > water instead. > You can either offer it over the deity or offer into a cup.
