Preparing for the great day. I have asked my flowerwallah to get me

216+ Bilva leaf clusters. Keeping my fingers crossed till tomorrow

afternoon. Talking about flowers, there is a flower, which we call

Nagalinga Puspam. It has a small lingam like protrusion surrounded by

a Yoni like structure with a hood like a serpent. It is available in

Madras and Kerala. But it is rare. The flower has an uncanny

resemblance to a Linga with Yoni hooded by a Naga. It is considered a

special offering to Lord Shiva and MAA.

It is not native to India and not mentioned in the scriptures.

The tree is called cannonball tree. It is native to northern South

America and Trinidad and Tobago, and planted throughout the tropics

and subtropics

May be there is a tree in your neighborhood. Get a flower for

Sivaratri.

Satabisha Nakshatra is playing truant. Tuesday, Chathurthi, and

Satabisha. Since the thidhi and Nakshatra are more important than the

vasara I will do the Paddhati on Chathurthi, and Satabisha night. I do

have an attachment to Satabisha as I was born on a Satabisha Nakshatra

day.

On Sivaratri night we can have the Dharshan of the Jyotirlingas here

Jai MAA !!!
