When I thought this over, I remembered Swamiji's advice - First find

my goal in life. Then organize my life around that goal.

The goal would also help me discriminate on the right action. Is

this karma taking me closer to or further away from my goal ?

------------------

Nanda,

Thank you. After meditating on Swamiji's instruction and Shree Maa's

message to the prayer group last month ..."We pray that you ask

yourself the question-- what is the purpose of my life? What is my

goal? What do I want to give to this world to say "Thank you" for

allowing me to be here?" the following letter/poem/prayer came. Of

course I do write the script of my life, although sometimes it seems

the prabdha karma has its way, and I still forget who I am and "shoot

more arrows"!

Also Nanda, thank you for the blessings of support and encouragement

for puja. It was a bless filled night. Truely a coming home.

Om, Peace- S

-----------

Om Maa Devi,

If I could write the script of this life I call mine

I would sit at my Guru's feet

Washing them gently each day

As she lightly touches my head

I would walk and breathe with such gentleness

That even the smallest birds would feel safe

In my presence

I would sing from my heart to the Mother

As the river of light and life flows freely

Through me

I would cause no harm, possess little,

Want for nothing, smile easily, and

Love fully

I would heal with these hands and this heart

Be bothered no more by the noise of commerce

And politics

I would move anonymously through the crowds

Helping where I can, grasping for nothing,

Serving the Mother

"I" would be no more

Only your servant

Would remain

You made me - your Daugher, Mother, with these talents and habits.

Please use this life, these samskaras, this breath, mind and body

As YOU see fit.

Om Tat Sat

Sadumaa,

Your letter/prayer/poem is heart-rendingly beautiful.

Thank you so much for your devotion and expression.
