At the end of the advanced pujas, we release the deity in the yantra back into the unmanifest. This is performed doing the visarjana mudra - the video clipping is present in the Files section of the group. "Visarjana" is also used to indicate when an idol is immersed in water. As in Ganesh chathurthi, at the end of the festival, Ganesh is taken in procession and immersed in the river or ocean. In our case at the Mandir, the Shiva lingas that Maa makes during Magh were immersed in the flowing creek on the premises. Hope this helps. Please let me know of further questions.
