Guest guest
Dear All, My question to you - in your opinion, what is the most important spiritual question ? I look forward to your intuitive and well reasoned answers. Jai Maa Nanda I got this from the web. My acknowledgement and thanks to Anthony De Mello. ========================================== One day the Master asked, "What, in your opinion, is the most important of all religious questions?" He got many answers: "Does God exist?" "Who is God?" "What is the path to God?" "Is there a life after death?" "No," said the Master. "The most important question is: 'Who am I?'" ===============================================
Guest guest
here it is as i see it at the moment. "what is happiness based on truth?" this establishes happiness [bliss] as fundamental, but not any good feeling. it must correspond to wisdom, vedas, inquiry, whatever the highest is i can see. this also protects against truth as opposed to relative facts. continuous asking of this question, not only in mind but in life itself, leads one OUTSIDE of egoic experience and philosophy into GOD. jai maa jai maa jai maa. , "Nanda" <chandimaakijai> wrote: > > > Dear All, > > My question to you - in your opinion, what is the most important > spiritual question ? > > I look forward to your intuitive and well reasoned answers. > Jai Maa > Nanda > > I got this from the web. Guest guest
Hi Nanda, I immediately thought "Who am I?" upon reading your question even before reading the De Mello story. And I acknowledge my awareness of this question to peerless gurus like Ramana Maharishi and Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj, who through their published books first fired my brain with this question and mode of inquiry. I have several flavors of the same question: Ramana Maharishi-inspired question: WHO is asking the question about the most important question? WHO is thinking about the answer to the question? Richard Bach (author of Jonathan Livingston Seagull, and Illusions) WHO am I? WHAT am I doing here? WHERE have I come from? WHERE am I going? (Emphasis on the words WHO etc are mine) Jai Ma! , "Nanda" <chandimaakijai> wrote: > > > Dear All, > > My question to you - in your opinion, what is the most important > spiritual question ? > > I look forward to your intuitive and well reasoned answers. > Jai Maa > Nanda > > I got this from the web. Guest guest
Jai Maa I am asking for your input. I am part of the 21st International Ramayan Conference to be held here in NY York College. I am looking for a slogan or an inspiration line to put on a Banner. Something catchy has to do with what Ramayan can do for todays youths and or world peace. Hope to hear from all of you espeically Muktimaa. Guest guest
This is amazing. I often wake up at night and then falling back asleep is difficult because my mind keeps buzzing with all the strsses , concerns and worries. So last night I am going through the same and then I thought about Maa's message and then the question resounded in my brain-WHO AM I. Just this thought brought a comfort to my heart and thinking of that I dozed off. So Yes, it seems to be the most pertinent question. Guest guest
Great questions, Arjuna. Vivekananda said that what most impressed him about Sri Ramakrishna was that he was not afraid to say that he saw God and that he could help others to see God.
