Guest guest
Ok I will be honest here .... I am not doing the Shiva Puja right now, but I can safely say that even a cursory reading of the write- ups from Nanda reveal that they are promising to be the beginning of an excellent handbook. At this point, after seeing the joy and sincerity and kindness of this group, I would like to appreciate Nanda's efforts in keeping this group going with so much enthusiasm. The number of different projects she has undertaken for the group is tremendous, if you consider that (s)he has a professional life, personal life, personal sadhana, and other related activity. The Thanksgiving is also extended to other committed members of the Devi Mandir family including, but not limited to, the Prayer Club coordinators, Pravati, and of course, Shree Maa Devi and Swamiji! I can truly that this, along with one other group which is known for its openness and candor on Devi discussions, are the best groups in which I have invested my time, and that I eagerly look forward for more and more from these sites. May you always graciously pour the 'Niagara Falls of Blessings' on me even if my palms can only take a few drops of them at a time! Jai Ma! Guest guest
Dear Manoj, berijoy et al, Thank you for taking the time to tell me how much you appreciate what I am doing. Thank you for being there in the club and participating - answering questions and sharing discussions, and just being a part of our online satsanga. For me, anything that I contribute to the club is REALLY because of Maa. She once put up a little post-it note in the Mandir's kitchen - sometime in september of 2003 asking us to post atleast once a day and share knowledge. And from the little that I know Maa, She never asks us to undertake a task without giving us the skills. She equips the called. So any appreciation that you give me , I gladly accept - but I KNOW , I can see it CLEAR as day, that it is all Maa's doing ! And anybody would have done what I have or better, if they just follow Maa's suggestions. Thank you once again. I am here to serve Maa. Guest guest
Dear All, Last night while viewing the day’s post, I came across the post which follows, where our derest Nanda Devi referred to a “little post-it-note in the Mandir’s kitchen”. This was a sad reminder of the times that I started to post and gave up either because of not knowing what to write or the feeling that it would not be read. At the end of the post, Nanda made a very profound statement “I am Here to serve Maa”. This statement caused this child to reflect quite a bit and later, while sitting before the altar listening to Maa as She sweetly sang “Please take my hand my Lord, and show me the way …. It was if Maa was reassuring me that all she needed from this child was the sincere effort. At the end of the song, I opened a book called “Mother of the Universe which contains hymns on Kali wisdom. I will share the hymn as my first attempt at a renewed effort in adhering to that request made by Maa since 2003. Thank you Mother, for this opportunity and for all of your beautiful messengers. Please guide these hands daily to obey your request and to serve you as you deserve.
