Guest guest
What are you doing this Saturday at 11:30 PST? If you have Instant Messenger (it is free and easy to download), I have an offer that you ought to consider. A group of devotees gather together to share insights and inspiration on the Guru Gita, the Song of the Guru. This is a beautiful and poetic piece of Sanskrit literature translated by our Swamiji in which Lord Shiva explains to Parvati who the Guru is and how one can relate to the Guru and receive the blessings of the Guru. As Swamiji always says "he has no favorites" when it comes to Holy Scripture. Well, I have lots of favorites! The Guru Gita is my foundation scripture. For me, it "says it all". If you aren't certain why we have gurus or why you might want to align yourself with a guru, this scripture spells it out clearly. In addition to our group discussions, Swamiji has recorded online classes on the Guru Gita on the shreemaa.org site. There is something more to these meetings. Something very blessed occurs each Saturday. We have become a satsang. We inspire each other and we are joined in Truth. Shree Maa and Swamiji have encouraged all of the members of the Forum to join in these discussions. You don't need any experience or background. You don't even need the text. We will type out the verses each week before we discuss them. Shree Maa and Swamiji give us "fresh blessings" each week. We can even feel their presence. And Swamiji is always ready to answer our questions. This is a rare opportunity... to study Holy Scriptures under the guidance and blessings of two Satgurus. If you don't know what a Satguru is, come to class and find out! Your loving friend, Ardis
