sister grace--lovely altar.  is that a bird of paradise flower?

i'd like to know where

you find that nice statue (is that proper word?) ?

Hi Berijoy,

yes, that is a bird of paridise flower. I have a plant in the garden

and right now it is blessing me with some flowers .

 

The statue of Durga I bought many years ago( about 25) in India. I

spent a long time looking for her. I wanted a larger one but that was

all I could afford, and the wallah selling her knew that I wanted her

so ..

 

I am waiting to see if she is happy on the puja rather than in the

living room. Time will tell.

By the way if anyone is interested, underneath the cloth are 2 plastic

storage boxes that I found in the basement not being used.

i have a teeny tiny

brass one one of my students brought me from india.  she is sitting in

front of a picture of herself.

hey, me too!  after

nanda gave the dimensions of her first box i measured these plastic

tubs i have and now have chosen one to use.
