Guest guest
Hi Berijoy, yes, that is a bird of paridise flower. I have a plant in the garden and right now it is blessing me with some flowers . The statue of Durga I bought many years ago( about 25) in India. I spent a long time looking for her. I wanted a larger one but that was all I could afford, and the wallah selling her knew that I wanted her so .. I am waiting to see if she is happy on the puja rather than in the living room. Time will tell. Thank you for your kind words. By the way if anyone is interested, underneath the cloth are 2 plastic storage boxes that I found in the basement not being used. Jai Maa and Jai Swamiji Grace ..
