continued ........

Sun and moon blaze in one vast sky

as lights offered on a sacred shrine

Stars are diamonds adorning

the black image of Divinity.

The sweet evening breeze

is sandalwood incense,

moving the leaves like ceremonial fans

before Your holy Presence.

Flowering groves are garlands,

still ponds are mirrors.

How awesome this natural worship,

this perpetual praise of You,

O Dissolver of birth and death,

The primordial sound of OM,

arising like thunder from the void,

is the great temple drum.

"Nectar, nectar, more nectar!"

cries thirsty Nanak,

estatic singer of this song.

"May Your glorious Name alone,

its resonance and illumination,

become my breath and my abode.

Within the black sky of Wisdom,

the full moon of Love is rising,

creating a floodtide of ecstasy.

Waves of divine Bliss are surging

up the river of relativity.

The victory is Yours alone,

O blissfull Mother Kali.

Victory unto Thee!
