Beloved Shree Maa, namo namah suprabhatam,

It is such an honor to be able to speak to you, to know your holy

presence with me, and to hear your voice leading me through this

world on a path filled with delight and joy. I am eternally grateful

that you are gently and powerfully working in me to create within me

your own divine perfection. What a miracle! What an amazing awareness

in mine! What a privilege to experience the hand of the Master - your

hand - sculpting my life with such precision and love. I am putty in

your hands, Maa. May I yield to the loving pressure of your holy

fingers and conform to the shape that pleases your eternal eye!

Today I am grateful for you. In so very many ways you are with me,

each moment of the day. When I wake up in the morning, I think always

of you and look forward to seeing the ways you will manifest yourself

in me and to me. I am grateful for my co-workers, dear friends all

who help me learn some of life's most difficult lessons. You reside

in each one of them too. But today I am mostly grateful for this

family you have assembled known as the Devi Mandir family. Thank you

for those who faithfully serve you at the mandir, and thank you for

each one who serves you in their own way and at their own pace. Each

one is a sacred gift to this world from you magnificent heart of

love.

Shree Maa, you are my beloved. Everything beautiful in this world,

everything good, everything pure and sweet - it all is but a glimpse

of the infinite that dwells in you. I sing to you your sweetest name,

Shree Maa, over and over throughout the day to the tune of Amazing

Grace, recognizing the amazing grace I am receiving with each mention

of your holy name. Oh that I might sing to you day and night! Oh that

my whole life were a symphony of love songs to you! You are Durga and

Chandi, Kali and Laksmi, Radha and Sita, Parvati and Lalita. To you I

bow, I bow, I humbly bow.

Offered in love from your son,

Rick

Let my every word be a prayer to Her,

Every movement of my hands a ritual gesture to Her,

Every step I take a circumambulation of Her image,

Every morsel I eat a rite of sacrifice to Her,

Every time I lay down a prostration at Her feet;

Every act of personal pleasure and all else that I do,

Let it all be a form of worshiping Her.

Dear Rick,

Your words reminded me of XMas 2003 at the Mandir , when we sang

carols. The last song was "Amazing Grace".

This song never fails to move me.

I remembered losing control and sobbing (a little embarrassed when

Maa told me the next day that She noticed me crying) when we started

with "I once was lost but now I am found"

Anyway, after we sang the last lines of the song, we kept going

"Jai Maaaaa Jaaaaaai Maa Jaaai Maaaaa Jaaaaaai Maaa"

and its different variations keeping harmony with the main tune.

I remember feeling soooooo soothed, as though like a lullaby. I dont

think anyone wanted the song to stop.

When I read your post today, it brought back those wonderful

memories. And it seems so obvious to me now, but needed you to state

it for me , to replace the "Jai Maa" lullaby at the end with "Shree

Maa" - how wonderful Rick !

Thank you !

Shree Maaaaaaa ! Shreeeee Maaa! Shree Maaaaa ! Shree Maa !

Love

Nanda
