Shree Maa, Holy Mother, suprabhatam,

I scarce can get up from bowing to the ground whenever I think of you.

And yet, as I lie, face in the dirt, my heart begins to sing "jay

Chandi jay jay, mam jai Chandi jay jay..." and I must get to my feet

and dance in the light of your pure joy. I am happy to lie at your

feet and enraptured to dance in your beautiful light. I only want to

be with you moment by moment forever. You call me to yourself and I

am humbled. You wipe away all my fears with a mere glance, and I am

healed.

Oh Mother, have I told you today how very much I adore you? There are

many delights and pleasures in this world, but you, Shree Maa, are

the Source. There is no real happiness that does not come from your

eternal heart. I come to you, again and again, and always you fill me

to overflowing. I love you Maa, oh, how I love you!

Dearest Mother, you wake me gently in the morning to the whispers of

love, and you walk with me each step of my day. Even though I cannot

see you with my physical eyes, you are far more present to me than

most things my eyes can see. You touch my face and remind me that I

am your child. You smile, and the sun comes from behind the clouds.

You laugh, and the flowers burst forth in full bloom. I love you Maa,

oh, how I love you!

Offered with love from your son,

Rick

Let my every word be a prayer to Her,

Every movement of my hands a ritual gesture to Her,

Every step I take a circumambulation of Her image,

Every morsel I eat a rite of sacrifice to Her,

Every time I lay down a prostration at Her feet;

Every act of personal pleasure and all else that I do,

Let it all be a form of worshiping Her.

Adapted from Verse 27 of Shri Aadi Shankara's Saundaryalahari
