Guest guest
> Dear Nanda ~ I would like to participate, and I have a few questions. As you know, I have the old Chandi book (I guess I will have to get the new one > sometime if I want to be able to really understand what page you are on, so to speak). I don't know what you mean by Swamiji's book. Are you referring to the Samputs? Dear Linda, For this sankalpa the old Chandi book works equally well. When I say "Swamiji's book" I am referring to the Chandi Path text. Linda says: I am assuming the preliminaries are all the text passages prior to chapter 1. If this is wrong, please let me know. Nanda says: Correct - It is ALL pages leading upto chapter 1 Linda says: Also, you say, you can chant at your own pace. I'm not sure what this means. Does it mean on April 10, when there is quite a bit to cover, that I could break it into two parts? Nanda says: Yes, you could chant it in however many sittings that you want to do that day. You could do it in snatches of 15 minutes or half hour at a time - upto YOU. Linda says: Also would it mean that, for example, on April 12, when there is only one chapter, I could perhaps also do chapter 5 or even 5 and 6, so I don't end up with 4 chapters on one day? Nanda says: It is preferable that we stick with schedule ie do the 4 chapters on April 12. But I have news for you, Day 1 (Apr 10th) and Day 7(Apr 16th) are going to be the longest days. April 12 will be a breeze in comparison. Linda says: As you know, a major consideration for me relates to my health, and I don't want to put myself in a position where I set myself up to feel I have failed. Any light you can shed on my questions will be greatly appreciated. Jai Maa , Jai Swamiji ~ Linda Nanda says: Yes I understand. I believe we have split the Chandi that should be easy for most people. However if you feel that you dont make the list, you do have the option of letting the CD play on and listening to it. It is STILL within the bounds of the sankalpa. Hope this helps. And hope that at the end of this Navaratri - you can say with confidence - "I TOO have chanted the entire book , cover-to-cover."
