Guest guest
Dear Nanda Ji I would plead for Swamiji’s advise on the following sankalp of mine. I am preparing to conduct my own Navratri sankalp as follows for 9 days: 1st day morning (9th) 5:00 am – sthapana of Ganesh, 16 Matrikas, 64 Yoginis, Maha Devi Bhagwati Shri Durga (Main), Bhairav, Vishnu, Brahma and Shiva. Recitation of Chandi Paath twice on this day. Evening, archana and aarti of adya shakti. 2nd day until 8th day: morning 5:00 am Puja of all sthapanas and Durga Puja (Cosmic Puja); evening recitation of Chandi Paath and Aarti. The above should complete 10 full Chandi Paaths. 9th day (17th): Chandi Homam from the morning 7:00am, Homam of 1008 Navarana mantra, ahutis of all sthapanas. With part of Kali Puja – sacrificial offering of a pumpkin. The above format is similar to a Nav Chandi Yagna spread over 9 days. At the moment that is what I am contemplating – I may do some changes to suit the best way of not making worship a burden but enjoyable and life giving. If any respected devotee wishes to correct me/suggest on the above please kindly do so as I am merely striving to please Maa Durga and your assistance towards making her pleased with us will be appreciated. May Maa bless you all and all your desires come true and you all find true wealth. Jai Durge! Jai Shiv Shambho! Jay Nanda [chandimaakijai] Tuesday, April 05, 2005 7:43 AM Here it is - Navaratri Group Sankalpa Dear All, Here is a suggestion put forth by a devotee for our group Vasanta (Spring) Navaratri sankalpa , which Swamiji has accepted. It is a method of recitation of the Chandi spread over 7 days. If you find that you do not have the time to chant the Chandi in one day, then this may be a way for you. So here is the method We start on the second day of Navaratri to finish on the 8th day. Apr 10 th : All the preliminaries as per Swamiji's book and Chapter 1 Apr 11 th : Durga Sapta Shloki and Chapters 2 & 3 Apr 12 th : Durga Sapta Shloki and Chapters 4 Apr 13 th : Durga Sapta Shloki and Chapters 5, 6, 7, & 8 Apr 14 th : Durga Sapta Shloki and Chapters 9 & 10 Apr 15 th : Durga Sapta Shloki and Chapter 11 Apr 16 th : Durga Sapta Shloki and Chapters 12 &13 and conclusion as per Swamiji's book. You can chant at your own pace on each of these days. Can we find out the people that will be participating in the Navaratri sankalpa. I will inform the names of the participants to Maa and Swamiji for their blessings. You are also encouraged to take your own individual sankalpas, but as a group we will do this sankalpa. Look forward to your participation. Jai Chandi Maa Nanda Better first dates. More second dates. Guest guest
Namaste Jay-ji, I have forwarded it to Swamiji, but I think he is in a "quiet" mode preparing for His Navaratri, so I will inform you whenever he does.
