Guest guest
Dear All, Namaste and greetings on the occasion of vasantha navratri... my little knowledge on the sriyantra puja and worship is as under.. 1. Sri Yantra is king of all the yantras (other beautiful one is durga sapthasati yantra with her beej mantras in it) as it is residing place of all the devataas (believe 64 crore devatas and had the details also but unfortunately missed the entire file..bad luck.) 2. Sri yantra is associated with srilalitha devi who resides in the centre of yantra denoted as bindu..and it is her fort. 3. Sri Varahi is the commander in chief and protector of this fort and her deputies are placed in all corners of the fort. 4. Sri Matangi overseas the entire operations 5. Ultimately srilalitha is the universal queen ruling the entire thing. 6. It is believed Devi Khadgamala is the opening key to the fort as it is a stotra to worship the all the deputies of srivarahi to protect 7. Next is worshipping srivarahi to gain entry into srinagaram..the city inside the fort 8. Next is worshipping srimatangi to seek the darshan of srilalitha 9. Out of track...worshipping srivarahi and srimatangi implies getting rid of our physical and mental pleasures...or say rajasic or tamasic qualities..(sorry if i goofed here) to attain eternal bliss o 10. Now reciting srilalitha suprabatha, ashtottara namavalli, sahasranama, trisati etc to please srilalitha and singing bhajans. 11. I do believe worshipping shiva also is essential as srilalitha is shivasakthi ikya swaroopini as her nama says.. 12. while reciting any stotra, please add purva and uttara bhaga also 13. For this type of simple puja, guru initiation is not necessary but for all form of higher srividya worship definitely guru upadesh and initiation is a must. But sometime devi herself chooses and sends guru at the appropriate time as it happened in my case and few of my friends case. 14. Abishegam and other things are not necessary daily, if the yantra is pranpratishta one and having life and once it is placed in altar, please dont change the position...taking and keeping it in sun etc..is not there is as far as my reading of shastras... Simple and easy way is worshipping balatripura sundari in the form of sriyantra with dhyan sloka starting with words..bindu trikona vasukona...and with her beej mantra...om aim klim. One can worship srilakshmi also in the form of sriyantra with her dhyan sloka and beej mantra..0m shriiM Mahalakshmiyai Namah...srisuktam or samputit srisuktam is also recommended... All other forms of worship is considered as srividya worship and one must learn the same from guru...this is what i understand. The above outlined worship method is practised by me and i found it is giving me enough peace and happiness. sriganeshh
