Jai Maa!

I have a couple of questions regarding the Preparatory Verses and

Navarna Vidhi in preparation for the Navaratri group sankalpa.

I will be performing our group Chandi chanting sankalpa as part of my

normal Kali Puja. I was planning on chanting Chandi after the

offerings and 100 Names of Kali. The preparatory verses for Kali Puja

and Chandi, starting with "manmahaganadhipate namah" and ending

with "om shantih shantih shantih," are effectively identical. The

only differences are that the Kali mula mantra is replaced with

Navarna mantra and the sankalpa is slightly different at the end. My

plan was to chant the introductory verses at the beginning of my Kali

Puja, adding "kali pujam ca chandi patham karishye" to the sankalpa.

Then, when I have reached the Chandi chanting portion of the program,

I would begin with Sapta Shloki Durga and proceed from there. Is this

correct? (I hope this question is clear).

In the Navarna Vidhi, rysadi nyasah, how does one indicate the various

body parts? I'm assuming not by touching, since it includes the feet

and anus. The same question, of course, would apply to the

aksaranyasah.

In the din nyasah, do we point in the various directions? With a

particulart mudra?

If anyone can help with these questions, I would be deeply

appreciative. I'm quite excited about our group sankalpa.

My prostrations to the feet of Shree Maa, beloved Swamiji, and Shree

Mata Amritanandamayi.

Jai Maa!
