Hello All,

Yes, I too finished Sakradhi Stuti. A light day sadhana-wise but heavy

day work wise. I am reminded of Karen's post about seeing holiness in

work.

Glad to know that everyone is keeping up! A little but EVERYDAY - that

is the trick, one of the disciples told me last weekend.

At the Mandir, people gather to chant as a group at 5.30 in the

morning (and thats because we are in daylight savings time), just a

week ago they were getting up at 4.30 and chanting at 5 am. Ye Gods!

And then every evening, people take turns to lead one or more of their favorite

texts at the fire. I have the privilege to lead Sunday evenings for this month

and I have chosen Guru Gita.

Yes,like you Henny, by far, Chandi is the most preferred text among

the devotees and disciples alike. I suppose people try it out of

curiosity and then find so many blockages unblocking as a result of

sustained practice even over a few weeks. (I can vouch for that and

perhaps our Srini can share too)

Re the chanting - yes it is challenging for some folks. For me ,

sitting in one asan without squirming is the challenge. I suppose we

all have our own custom made battles.

Yes , every text has its own charm, but there is something special

about the Chandi.

And my most favorite chapter amongst the 13 chapters is Chapter 4.

Lets keep at it dear friends and come back and share tomorrow.

I have uploaded a (a few months old) picture of the Cosmic Altar for

anyone that is interested. It is on the group homepage

PS - Aravind , that was a neat catchy shloka and yes it IS anushtup. Wow, we

have a budding Rishi that writes shlokas in our midst.

I have always had the most difficulty with Chapter 4. There are so

many syllables in each line. Even when I listen to Swamiji on the CD,

it seems like he says so much with each breath, I can barely keep up.

I am so glad to hear you say that it is your favorite chapter. After

this sankalpa I am going to chant chapter 4 for a few days along with

Swamiji until it feels as comfortable as the rest of the book.

Thank you Nanda. Your gentle guidance and assistance is absolutely

priceless. I love this sankalpa!

Your brother in Shree Maa's love,

Rick
