Guest guest
Day 5 of the Navaratri Sankalpa complete. I finished chapter 9, 10. No more asuras... Gone! Kaput! Finito ! FINIS ! You would think .. but amazing how ingrained some of them are. Then I remember the hymn "Take it to the Lord in prayer". And Maa singing the song "Whom else can I cry to Mother?" Anyways, glad to know that we are all still going strong, whether we are doing our sankalpa a day early (Lieve Henny) , or catching up (Dear Linda), or keeping up (Dear Nanda) when I realized something ..... It takes me on an average 20 minutes to chant the day's sankalpa. Just 20 mins and I have with God's Grace been able to come from my office and sit at the altar. There has been no pressure, because this amount of time I CAN give. It is like small change box on the dresser - a little bit here and bit there ... Before I know it, at the end of the week we would ALL have completed a full Chandi Path. That is 52 weeks a year , so 52 Chandis a year ! NOT BAD AT ALL ! When you think it is just about 20 minutes a day (well the first and last days are much longer, but if we doing just the seedha path then we could still accomplish 52 Seedha Chandis in a year) And that is no mean feat !!! Plus we are covering the most important aspect of a sankalpa - CONSISTENCY ! Just 20 minutes a day reading a chapter or two , everyday and completing a Seedha Path in 7 days. (Sorry if I sound like one of those insurance ads on TV - JUST 1 dollar a day and your insurance can NEVER be denied and etc etc ) But to me this is very important - how a big sankalpa can be broken out into smaller achievable chunks . We put them back together to achieve the GOAL. Jai Chandi Maa Nanda Make your home page
Guest guest
Dear Nanda, by the grace of God and Guru I have completed day 5 (yesterday evening) and day 6 (this evening). I also did the Shiva puja before chanting, and I cannot tell you how grateful I am that you taught me how. It has been a most extraordinary week. And I like your idea of one Chandi a week via small installments very much! with love, Henny 'All worry you take away, Oh Goddess, Exposer of Consciousness, we bow to you.' , Nanda <chandimaakijai> wrote: > Dear All, > Day 5 of the Navaratri Sankalpa complete.
