swamiji calls this churning.what if i can't do anything, for example,

i can barely move. human life is so limited. maybe i have only one

hand. i can put a flower near an image of god. i think of the image

of shiva. if i pass out, when i awake i can say, hello, i am a child

of god. our devotion takes so many forms. it is primarily a

gesture.everything we are doing here supports our devotion. the

sankalpa is like the prow of the ship. it is the most extended, most

advanced gesture.

Dear Steve ~ thank you for this thoughtful post. What good examples

you give. I have been having a lot of churning, not just for falling

behind in the sankalpa (I am really glad I did not quit), but also in

life circumstances. I am finding that each time I chant the Chandi,

there is something there that helps me in a very specific

way...almost as though it was written just for me. I wonder if others

have felt this way reading the Chandi ~ how a universal book of

worship can also seem so specific to the individual. Chandi Maa Ki
