Funny How Things Change: Conversations with my Grandmother

You said,

I used to tuck you into bed,

now you are tucking me in.

I said,

Funny how things change.

You said,

Yes, it is.

I said,

If you had not tucked me in,

I might not be here to help you.

You said,

That is true.

Note: Swamiji says we owe our gratitude seven generations back for

what they did that allows us to be here in this privileged place,

knowing what we know. Om, peace to you my friends. -S

Namaste beloved family!

This is hard for me to say in regards to my own 'Mother, who gave

birth to this body':

"She who was there when i came into this world; i was there with her,

when she left this world.

In the beginning, she was there, lovingly changing my diapers each

day...

At the end of her embodiment, i was there lovingly changing her

diapers each day.

When she wanted to give me a special treat, She would give me a coke

and chips and turn on 'I Love Lucy'

Her favorite treat at the end of her stay on earth, was for me to

give her a coke, some chips, and turn on repeats of 'I Love Lucy'.

Our relationship had often been quite turbulent, but all that

disappeared in the end. She had Alzheimers disease and so became like

my little child who i loved and tried to protect. In the end, all

that was left was...LOVE.

Jai Chandi Shree Maa! Jai Shiva Swamiji! Jai Ramakrishna Deva!

your sister always,

muktimaa
