Guest guest
Dear Sadhvi & Karen, I checked this with Swamiji a few days ago and here is the phrase that we have to add in our sankalpas to say that we are doing this puja for the benefit of a set of people. Dear Karen, please note the difference from our usual format and its a little simpler (less one word) So if Sadhvi is praying for Karen & Michael then this is how the sankalpa would look Om Adya .... Shri Jane Kritait, KAREN MANGALARTHAM CHA MICHAEL MANGALARTHAM , Shri (the deity) kamah, Puja Karmaham, (whatever puja you are doing) karishye. Hi Nanda, Thank you...this is not quite what I meant...but thanks all the same....it was more: is there an analogy to the Buddhist practice of offering the merits of our practices for the "upliftment of all sentient beings"...I wondered if there was an analogy in Hindu practice...that is less to do with specific people (i.e.Karen/Michael/Sadhvi) and more to do with "humanity". That was my question. I think I was, maybe, not clear here. thanks again, with great love, sadhvi
