Dear Karen,

Thank you for this question. I am reminded of what Lord Jesus said

"Where two or more are gathered in my name, there I am"

There is a practical benefit to praying together - if we are

struggling with prayer for our own reasons, we can draw inspiration

and energy from our group.

ah, this is exactly the first thing i thought about--jesus'

scripture. i think there is spiritual power and energy where

people unite together in prayer.

Karen,

The value of praying together...

Notwithstanding the meaning of what Jesus said, for me the value of

shared prayer is the feeling of community, of doing something together

with people I love for a divine purpose.
