Dear Brian and henny ~ having just chanted the Chandi for the first

time, and after having read it 3 or 4 times, there are two passages

that relate to the above, and each time I read them, they amaze me.

One thing is they show the Love of the Divine Mother. Second, they

show that, like the propellers we think our ours, everything is

really the Divine Mother.

Here are the two passages:

In the old version of the book, Chapter 4, verse 19

"Why is it that your one glance does not reduce all thoughts to ashes?

So that being purified by the weapons, these thoughts may be raised to

the higher worlds. You are so benevolent that you think for the

welfare of even your enemies."

The Modified Secret, Verse 29 and 30

"In front of the Goddess, on the left side, one should offer worship

to the severed head of the Great Ego, who attained complete union

with the Goddess."

Like many Western Mystical traditions, "secrets" have hidden this same

truth ~ that, despite appearances, everything is God/dess. The reason

it is kept secret is because it is possibly dangerous for someone not

on a path. They might think, since it is all One anyhow, I can run

amuck. But when a person truly "sees" and experiences this Oneness,

any desire to run amuck vanishes. Why would you want to harm your own

Self after all? Jai Maa ~ Linda

Yes. Wonderful.

Mother made the mechanisms. Contemplate how much She loves the whole

evolution of the mechanisms and how much She loves all the games, then its

easy to understand why She has so much respect for the autonomy of the

mechanisms. They are Her toys -- her self aware toys -- and if She removes

them from reality, She won't have them to play with anymore. That's why We

have to be excelent Devotees, seek truth in everything and plead with Her

to get Her to destroy the mechanisms that distract us from Her.

If we perceive ourselves to be mechanisms, then its irrational for us to

ask her to destroy us. But by imagining, or pretending that we are Her, by

acting as we think She would act, we show Her our truest respect. Then

when the asuras interfere with our desire to be like Her, we can cry to

Her and say, "Oh Mother! Please take that away! It is preventing me from

Realizing You!"

Then She can act, because we have discriminated our desires and chosen one

that brings us closer to Her.

We admit we have no power, that it is all Hers, and in Her mercy she

grants us the boon and destroys all that which stands in the way of us

Becoming Her.
