Guest guest
Dear Brian, you said: >But by imagining, or pretending that we are Her, by > acting as we think She would act, we show Her our truest respect. This is wonderful. Somewhere in me still lurks the Calvinist, saying that you should never ever imagine such a thing, and sometimes he still sings his old song: blasphemy! Thank you for kicking him in the teeth. may we always show our Divine Mother our truest respect, with love, Henny , "Brian McKee" <brian@s...> wrote: > Yes. Wonderful. > > Mother made the mechanisms. Guest guest
The real truth is found in the Mahavakya: Tat twam asi! You are That! Imagination is simply the first attempt to break through the delusion that we are something else. John Dobson, the astronomer and Vedantic monk likes to say: "See God? You have never seen anything but God(dess). You just don't recognize it for what it is" My understanding of sadhana is that it is to help us to see Shiva/Shakti for what it is. I love your questions. Please keep them coming. It reminds me to think clearly about what I know and to see where the limits of that are. Guest guest
Dear Arjuna, you said: >My understanding of sadhana is that it is to help us to see >Shiva/Shakti for what it is. I am beginning to see why you told me when I first came here that it might be wise to concentrate on one type of practice. 'When you want to fight a war, you need a sword', you said and, having read the Chandi, I am now thinking it would be a good idea to get me one. War it is! with love, Henny , Arjuna <arjunaacharya> wrote: > Dear Henny, > The real truth is found in the Mahavakya: Tat twam asi! You are That!
