Guest guest
Dear Linda, thank you for your thoughtful response and for the illustrations from the Chandi. I certainly share your amazement. The one from Chapter 4 blew me away when I first read it : the mystery of Divine Love, not annihilation, but transformation; nothing is lost (it reminded me of Origines' teaching of the final redemption of all, which was rejected by the Church. Even though I have forgotten most of what I learned about the History of the Church I always remembered this because I felt it must be right). The second text you quoted I did not remember at all and I am glad you took the trouble to bring it to my attention. It is such a powerful image! You are right, the 'secret' that 'there is no other' is part of the Western tradition as well. East and West do meet. you said: >But when a person truly "sees" and experiences this Oneness, any >desire to run amuck vanishes. Why would you want to harm your own >Self after all? this is beautiful, Linda.
