Guest guest
Guru Gita Verse 100 "Let the mind be filled with the intrinsic nature of all that isknowable. Realize wisdom is one with that which is knowable. Otherthan this there is not a second path." Hmmm ... I really liked what you said, Steve, all very good food for thought. What is the intrinsic naure of all that is knowable? God/dess. So, then "Realize wisdom is one with that which is ..." God/dess. True wisdom is in the Divine only. Everything is in the Divine only. Yet, for this one, there is a big fault line between knowing and being and doing. I hope the one path goes over the fault line. I believe this ~ that all is Divine. I attempt to live it. I often fail. Then there is the big policeman standing over my head with his nightstick wanting to whack me a bunch. But wait, he too is part of the intrinsic nature of the knowable if I only know how to see. It sounds like simplicity itself. It seems like difficulty itself. Both of these too, as I have learned from the Chandi, are the Mother. The answer for me, I believe, is to immerse myself more in that which is knowable, particularly through meditation, but also through bhakti. The God/dess is the path; the path is Love. ~ Linda P.S. I am sorry for everyone that the online class had to change, but I am very glad for me that it has come onto the digest because now I can better and more quickly see what people think, and I can participate. Yea! Namaste Linda, I feel the same way. Where does time go ? This allows me to respond, intuitively as well as look at the thoughts of others. Sometimes the answers to questions come days before the question. With Love Om Namah Sivaya Kanda
Guest guest
Lindaji, I like what you said: >The answer for me, I believe, is to > immerse myself more in that which is knowable, particularly through >meditation, > but also through bhakti. The God/dess is the path; the path is >Love. and I think I see the link between this and what Steve said: that God can be known. Learning, by the grace of the Guru, to experience the world around you with loving attention, learning to observe your thoughts and feelings with loving attention, wouldn't that growth in love not also mean growing in the knowledge of God, or, to put it in another way, would the Wisdom that is hidden in all that is not gradually fill your mind more and more, revealing Itself in the measure that you leave behind personal preconceptions and false judgements?
