Guest guest
Dear family, Today we are at verse 110 - "The Guru is the Prasad of grace (defined as what you do is what you get) by which the individual soul is perceived. By means of this path of the Guru, the wisdom of one’s own soul arises." Comment: We had two very good examples of this verse recently in posts by our dear sister and friend Nanda, when special mention was made of the works done by Steve (of Texas mso-char-type: symbol; mso-symbol-font-family: Wingdings">J) and KalaChandra. Another shining example of guru's grace can be seen in our own dear sister and friend Nanda. Many of us will recall that some two years or so ago, Nanda Devi (then Latha) started out seeking guidance from all, as she struggled to maintain her sankalpa of reciting the Chandi daily. Every day for the most part, this beautiful soul painstakingly and with the utmost honesty and sincerity, made a dairy of those events and shared with us the joy, the bliss, the frustration. She promised to mention us in her first book if she made it (do you recall this Nanda?) Despite everything, she fought through to the end and completed her six-month sankalpa and thereafter seemed to have taken those fears by the horns. Today, Nanda assists us in many areas of the Chandi, she has brought many of us together through hard work and dedication, and has published (online) the book as promised in the form of a Puja Work book making mention of many by way of comment/question/input. Nanda shares with us events and happenings at the Mandir, she seeks answers to our concerns and messages from to Beloved Gurujis and even bow to The Blessed Ones on our behalf. These acts could only come form a heart of love and blessing through the grace of Beloved Gurujis. Nanda Devi, thank you for being a living example of Guru’s Grace. Pranams dear one, Pranams!. Please share what this verse mean to you? KaliaDo You ?

By means of this path of the Guru, the wisdom of one#8217;s own soul arises." I like this language "...the prasad of grace..." When we offer a sweet, fruit, or a bit of prepared food at the altar by way of thanks to She from whom all this flows, we get something back which is so very much greater, incomprehensibly so, than that which we gave. So it is with the gurudeva. Alone, our limited efforts could never hope to overcome the dross of lifetimes, littering-up our unconsciouses, and polluting our minds. But the grace of the guru takes our efforts with loving hands and transforms them into something infinitely greater and more beautiful, and then gives them back. Such is the grace of the gurudeva. The gurudeva is truly the cup which constantly overflows with lovingkindness. The loving care of the gurudeva is truly beyond the power of words to express. Jai Maa! Guest guest
Dear all, to me this verse means that as soon as you take one step in the direction of the Guru, the Guru takes ten steps towards you. And even that first step you take is the response to the Guru's continual transmission of waves of love, even though you may not be consciously aware of it at first. The Guru is the spark, the Guru is the wind fanning the fire, and the Guru is the blazing fire. with love, Henny -- In , Kali Kali <kaliananda_saraswati@y. ...> wrote: > Dear family, > > Today we are at verse 110 - > "The Guru is the Prasad of grace (defined as what you do is what you get) by which the individual soul is perceived. Anything that I have even achieved today is through the grace of Maa and Swamiji. In fact achievement is not the right word, as the only effort on my part has been to obey Maa's words in posting everyday. She took care of the rest - from what I should write or not write, to putting me in situations where I learn, and above all - when I think that "I am doing", setting me straight by making it clear She is doing - I am only the tool. Yes, this verse really has to be the one the speaks to my heart. Simply because of how the Prasad of grace arises. "Could you do me one help?" , Maa asks so sweetly. Almost as though we were REALLY helping Her. In fact, whenever She asks us to do something She usually adds a BIG blessing that comes along with just attempting to "help" Maa. I think we are ALL examples of Her grace - in our own ways. What we have given, or how much we have put into this satsang - with the right intent that we are here to serve her - has come back and rewarded us in the ways that we most need them. I look forward to hearing from other friends sharing how they have been blessed by Maa's grace. The Guru's words never go wrong ... Guest guest
OM NAMAH SIVAYA Dear Nanda, i couldn't stop thinking about your post about how we have been blessed with Maa's grace. it's really a difficult thing to put into words. maybe the fact that i have never met either Swamiji or Shree Maa adds to the intangibility of their grace. words can't really express it but if i had to name it i would say it is increased awareness. the awareness that the Guru is not just a person but a person through which the Divine flows. i have always struggled with the whole Guru idea. but i can not ignore the facts. i now see many things in a different light. i can see the Divine speaking to me through many different people, things and events in my life. at times it can seem like i'm getting ganged up on a little when you get the messages from all sides. but i guess whatever it takes. only with Her grace can i see more clearly. and they are relentless aren't they?
