Guest guest
Happy Mother's Day, dear Shree Maa! Every day is truly your day, all that's necessary is for me to remember. And the only time I forget is when I allow forms to take the place of spirit in my consciousness. And I only let forms take the place of spirit when I am not immersed in the ocean of your bliss. And the only time I am not immersed in the ocean of your bliss is when I stop doing sadhana. Thank you, Maa, for always reminding me how important it is to keep doing sadhana, even after the last "Om" at my morning altar. May I ever worship you, moment by moment, in the rising sun and the setting sun, and every sun in between. In the poornima and the amavasya and all the moons in between. Today, right now, in this very moment, I give my full awareness and devotion to you. Please take it and see the pure adoration in my eyes as I gaze at you. Oh holy Mother, I long to know you in every beat of my heart, in every breath I breathe. Now that I have awakened to you, how can I ever be satisfied with anything else? For as long as there are stars and suns and galaxies, I will long for you and cry out to you for your blessing. I am your child, beloved Mother, and I was born to worship and serve you. You are the light of dawn, driving away the darkness of fear and guilt. You are the scent of orange blossoms, sweetly purifying the atmosphere wherein I work and play. You are the sound of sweet music, sung by choirs of gods and goddesses that fills my heart with peace and joy. You are the cool breezes that evaporate away all my cares and that caresses my cheek, saying to me, "what a beautiful creation you are, my child. You are my child, and I love you always." And you are the pool into which I melt as my heart and yours become one forever. Offered with love from your son, Rick Let my every word be a prayer to Her, Every movement of my hands a ritual gesture to Her, Every step I take a circumambulation of Her image, Every morsel I eat a rite of sacrifice to Her, Every time I lay down a prostration at Her feet; Every act of personal pleasure and all else that I do, Let it all be a form of worshiping Her.
