Dear henny ~ how very beautiful and so very True. I have been wondering if you have started your typing of the Chandi. I have finished my Seedha Path sankalpa, and my next sankalpa is to begin the typing the Chandi on the computer, leaving some space between the Sanskrit transliteration and the English. So often I have found that the way Swamiji and Shree Maa pronounce words is different from the linquistic markings in the back of the book. I also plan, as I have completed each section, to listen to Swamiji's online class for that section.I am excited to begin this work. I wonder if this would be considered a kind of seva. Guest guest
Dear Linda, on that same verse you wrote: >I do believe we have individual souls, as sparks of the > Sun, so we are sparks of the Guru, and then we imbibe the Guru's Sunlight as > Prasad and discover our own true Self. and I believe we felt and tried to express the same thing. Thanks for asking about my typing; the work proceeds slowly but surely and I have now reached page 62. So far I have not been consistent in keeping a schedule or anything, just put in a page or so when I found the time (between learning how to do Shiva puja without forgetting something, learning to sing those beautiful songs, watching the videos and reading the books...they sure keep you busy at the Devi Mandir (but I love doing it)). I feel it may be better to set up some sort of time-table, or perhaps reserve a special time of the day for typing. I am still puzzling, trying to fit everything in. So far I have typed the transliteration and then switched fonts in order to type the translation. It may be easier to type all transliteration texts first and fill in the other text later, but then you miss the immediate connection between sanskrit and translation. I like your idea of listening to the online class after each section! And your finishing your Seedha Path sankalpa is truly an inspiration to me; of course we could chant the pages we are going to type first.. there are so many possibilities, and I am so grateful that the books and the cd's are available to us, JAI MAA!
