hope it's not too late to respond to this! I am moving and not able

to post very much ...but this verse of the Guru Gita has always been

my favorite. I have read it translated in this way (slightly

different):"I bow to (the Guru, who is) the highest being and who is

of the form of this world, from Brahma to a blade of grass,

(everything) moveable and immovable".This verse of the Guru Gita

reminds me so much of my other favorite scriptural quote...from

Chandi Path: "Jum Sah, Jvalaya, Jvalaya, Jvala, Jvala,

Prajvala, Projvala, Jvala, Ham, Sam, Lam, Ksam, Phat, Svaha (Swamiji's

translation: Pure Consciousness, Flame, bright light of illumination,

Burning, blazing, shining, Beginning to blaze or flash forth!...(and

this) Illuminiation (is the) Divine I in all manifested beings (to)

the end of existence without a doubt I am One with God!" I have held

these two verses of scripture in my heart for a long time...they both

seem to reveal the same profound truth about incarnation...that the

Divine Consciousness, the pure "I" , residing in each of us as the

guru, also resides in every created thing! We are all sparks of this

pure illumination! When i remember these two verses, the entire

created world flashes out in a glorious revelation of Pure Bliss!

Amazing! a blade of grass! a rock! a bird! me! an insect! a leaf! all

"containers" of Pure Consciousness, blazing forth "to the end of

existence". I think about Dattatreya with his 21

gurus: spiders and snakes and ants and water and even human

beings....and how he was liberated through really experiencing the

truth of these verses...it's a huge inspiration to me!best

regards,sadhvi
