Guest guest
Today we have reached verse 117. Thanks to all you beautiful beings for your contribution and for keeping the discussion active. May Beloved Guru look upon us all and "wake us up" according to Guru's Will. Pranams Beloved Gurus. ===================== The verse 117. Just as scent is the intrinsic nature of camphor and various flowers, and hot and cold and others are various intrinsic natures in existence, just so, Supreme Divinity is without end. Comment: This verse always reminds me of water. Water is everywhere above, below, around and within, but where does it begin? Where does it end? Even the smallest body of water is seeking to find the ocean. Water is a very powerful source of energy. Chapter 11 vs 3 of the Chandi Path says "Because you exist as the intrinsic nature of the earth, you alone are the sole support of the material world. Oh Goddess of unchallengeable valor, you reside as the intrinsic nature of water (in the form of the container) whereby you gratify this All." What does this verse say to you dear friends. Guest guest
Dear Kalia, thank you for posting the verse and for your comment. To me it means that Supreme Divinity, being the intrinsic nature of all, is hidden and at the same time manifest in all. Like whiteness and milk, the two cannot be separated: whiteness cannot become manifest without form, and milk is not milk without the whiteness. Just so, Supreme Divinity manifests taking form, and supports the form, which could not exist without it. The possibilities of taking form are endless, there is no end to divine creative imagination. I like your association with water, taking the form of the container and yet remaining water and each drop being complete in itself. anyway, that's my two cents, with love, Henny , Kali Kali <kaliananda_saraswati@y. ...> wrote: > > > > Today we have reached verse 117. Guest guest
This is much more than two cents my friend. I like you analogy. When I read it I could not help but reflecting back a couple verses when you referred to the swan. The swan is able to extract just the milk and leave the water behind.
