As soon as I receive it, I will try to begin. I may have some questions after I start reading. I would like to feel more a part of the group so I wanted you all to know where I was at. Dear Joan ~ congratulations on getting the Siva Puja Beginner book and the instructions. Shree Maa has been quoted on this list (often when I have bewailed my sadness at not being able to keep up with the group is doing) as saying (paraphrase), Do only what you have the capacity to do. On Her website there is a little banner that runs across the botom (well, I just checked, and it used to, but it isn't there anymore), anyway, it said, "Ask for nothing; Love God," over and over and over. To me this is everything that Shree Maa and Swami teach in a nutshell. There have been many times, when, due to my ill health or to not having the right book, I was not able to follow along with a group sankalpa (project). I would feel sad, like I wasn't able to be part of the group, yet, if I voiced this feeling in the digest, I was showered with kindness, love and encouragement. Just as if a nice big bunch of friendly bears had taken me in a big bear hug. : ) You are part of the group, just by being here, but I understand what you mean and thank you for sharing with us where you are at.
