And the most curious thing: the eyes of the statue, being made of bronze, are colourless and looked 'blind' to me before. But now, as I gave her forehead and cheeks a last loving rub, I swear I saw her wink at me!This is definitely an experiment I am going to repeat. Who knows, perhaps the incense-holder, the bell and all the other items on the altar and even all the other stuff in my house are waiting to be cared for like this, and eager to wink at me as well... Dear Henny ~ once again, you have taken up the gauntlet and led in a most beautiful way. It is a bit ironic that this sankalpa came out of a suggestion I made, and I have not done it yet. So I will do it today. I will clean my Shiva Nataraj Chapter. I even have some special jewelry buffing cloth I can use to help bring back the shine. I loved hearing about the inner voice, which really sounds, from the way you describe it, as Durga was indeed conveying Her delight in your action. And I especially loved hearing about the wink. I do believe these things happen. They have happened to me. And once again, henny, you weave such a beautiful and inspiring story of your own true experience. I hope you are keeping some of this in a journal. Blessings ~ Linda
