The asuras are the ego, the Gods are the pure conciousness which is experiencing existence, and the divine fire is life in the world. Far better to be happy with what ever life brings, taking it all as prasad, some tasty and some not so tasty, but all reaping the fruit of karma, and seeking only for divine grace.
