Guest guest
Swamiji advises us to use a music or book stand when chanting. It makes for better posture instead of being hunched over with restricted breath -- and it frees the arms and hands so that the body can be more still. Try it. It's true. Just like his name says it is. He is Swami SATYANANDA Sarawasti. This relates: "Swamiji's response: Devotion to the Guru is certainly a key element. But in addition let's to a new definition of who we are and what are our goals in life! If I can't trust myself, then who can I trust?" Devnath's response: Swamiji Jai Maa!!! , "Nanda" <chandimaakijai> wrote: > Dear All, > I thought I would share something regarding the handling of books - > especially those books that we use to chant / do puja/ homa etc. > > The book is given a lot of importance - it is considered as an > embodiment of Goddess Saraswati and as such an object imbued with > divinity. > > Once at the Mandir during homa, I had placed the book (that I was > chanting from ) on the floor .
